Three Fires Meaning
At a young age I found several arrowheads in a low lying area where two streams merged on my family’s farm. From that point on I was intrigued by the people who inhabited northern Indiana and the culture of connection to the lands I called home.
Disclaimer: We do not claim to have any biological Native American lineage or association to the Potowatomi or Pokagan Tribe. Only a deep respect for their culture, history and relevance to the Michiana area.
Rooted in Great History
When english settlers arrived in South Bend portage region they were kindly greeted by the peaceful trade masters of The Council of the Three Fires.
Over many centuries the Potawatomi tribe native to Northern Indiana formed a prosperous alliance with the Chippewa and Odawa Tribes of the greater Great Lakes region.
Our name is an homage to the Native American Tribes and
the steadfast loyalty each represented in the alliance.
Within the Council of the Three Fires, each tribe represented a facet of council’s holistic form… without one or the other, they would all surely fall.
The Eldest of the tribes, the Chippawa were the “Keepers of the Faith”
The Middle brother, the Odawa, were “Keepers of the Trade”
The Youngest of the Alliance was the Potawatomi who were the “Keepers of the Fire”.

The “Keepers of the Flame” represent the respectful partnerships, friendships and passion for the end result that must be shared to build a brand and maintain a fruitful relationship between our clients and ourselves.
Personal Belief – The Three Fires of Life.
There are no more important things in life above Love, Health and Wealth… in that order. These are the integral natures that drive us all and help us realize our true potential. It is our belief that without any one of these they other will fail.
With the connection to the area, the interwoven correlation of philosophy and our personal belief in the priorities of life, there seemed no better name than Three Fires Creative to associate our new business.
